MULTIPLICATION TABLE SAMPLERJane Isabella Conarcher made her sampler at the age of six. Her sampler was made more for a learning exercise than for decorative reasons. Samplers like this one were made in the early 1800's and this particular one is of Scottish origin. The original is in the Childhood Museum in
Edinburgh.
Stitches used are cross and double running (holbein).
