CVST-1713A early, charming small sampler, mostlikely from the province of Gronigen in the Netherlands.
Worked in cross stitch with silk floss and some metal thread. The grape carriers or Spies of Canaan are frequently used motifs on Dutch samplers. The basket with seven flowers is another common motif as is the ship and the sewing cushion.
