ELMI T. (1843)
A small sampler believed to be from Paris, France. It features the usual alphabet and numbers as well as spot motifs along the bottom of trees and potted flowers. Most French samplers are signed and dated as is ours. Elmi T. was 8 years old when she made her sampler and she worked it
entirely in cross stitch. Original sampler shown in photograph.
