CHARLOTT STEER (1836)A small British sampler worked mainly in cross stitch, cross over one and Algerian eye using silk floss. Charlott stitched a lovely large basket containing flowers and greenery in the center of her work and this is surrounded by almost identical motifs on both sides. She included a lot of birds as well as plants, baskets, strawberries and dogs.
