MARION BLACK (1813)Marion was born in 1796 in Greenhole, Scotland. She married Thomas Craig in 1818. They had five children. Marion died in 1866. The original sampler was worked on 35 count natural linen as is ours.
Stitches used are cross stitch, Algerian eye, rice, double running, square and long armed cross stitch. The brilliant colors in the reproduction closely resemble the original.

Thread Count: 35 count (14 thr/cm) on natural linen.
